What is Fondness?

Fondness is the stat which determine the closeness with food souls and is gained through battles or by feeding them dishes. Fondness is also required to unlock bonus stats, voice lines, stories and the pledging feature. In order to be able to pledge to a Food Soul you need to get max fondness.

How to obtain Fondness?

Raising fondness can be done in two ways:

• Feeding
• Manually completing Stages, Catacombs or Dine & Dash

Privilege Packs

These packs provide additional bonus to fondness when feeding and can be bought from the Mall with real money.

Feeding

This is the fastest way to get some fondness. You feed the Food Soul dishes. How much fondness you get per dish depends on two things, is it a normal dish or an exquisite dish and if it is the Food Souls preferred dish. The food souls preferred dish will be displayed next to the Deluxe Bento with a star. Deluxe Bento is not affected by bonuses from packs.

Manually completing Stages, Catacombs or Dine & Dash

When completing stages like the normal and hard stages manually, not sweeping, has a chance to give your some of the Food Souls in your team an extra fondness point. This does take some more time than sweeping, but if you want to get more fondness than just the fondness from feeding it’ll help. Manually doing Catacombs will also have a chance to give some of the Food Souls you use an extra fondness point. Doing Trials and Dine & Dash can also give your Food Souls a fondness point.

Fondness Milestones

When raising fondness you’ll probably notice the different levels, every time you get to the next level the fondness is at 0. With the levels the Food Souls will get an effect and you will unlock certain voice lines:

Calculations

Because the fondness from manually completing stages is a bit random, I will only use feeding for this.To get max fondness you need to get 2650 fondness points.

Deluxe Bento:

For the first 200 fondness points you can only feed 5X per day.
This will take 7 of the bento’s. So this will take 2 days, in those 2 days you can feed 15 dishes because the second day you’ll unlock the second slot. You’ll be at 450 points. After that you’ll just have those two slots which means 10X feeding per day, so 300 points per day
