Japanese-style beef rice is the most popular Japanese-style fast food. A small bowl of hot Japanese rice, topped with ground beef and onion, steamed together, served with marinated ginger slices, one of the favorite working lunches for Japanese office workers. It is characterized by the selection of minced meat from the joints of the beef bones, which are fat and thin, so that the tofu and onions are sweetened by the gravy, and then sprinkled with some chili powder, which is supremely delicious. |

Introduction
|
Gyudon is one of the earliest fast food for the common people. As one of Japan's working class favourite lunch, Gyudon can be prepared by steaming a bowl of piping hot Japanese rice topped with a layer of shredded beef and onion. Thereafter, add some shredded ginger before digging in. It's unique characteristics lies in where the shredded beef comes from; the part where the bones are connected. The lean and plump nature of the meat enable its juice to make the tofu and onion become sweet and aromatic during the cooking process. Adding some spicy pepper will made the dish extremely delicious. |
